Rice Krispies Cheese Bites

Need a snack? Something addictive + quick + cheesy + kind of spicy too? Look no further. Rice Krispies were hiding in my pantry, so I combined them w cheese and now have sexy cheese crisps. Best paired with white wine and Netflix.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 sticks Butter, softened
  • 2 c All Purpose Flour
  • 2 c Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 c Puffed Rice Cereal (like Rice Crispies)
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Line baking sheets with baking parchment or silicone lined baking mat.
  • Combine all of the ingredients, and mix together thoroughly until fully combined. Form into small balls, approximately 1-inch in diameter. Place on lined baking sheets about 1-inch apart. Flatten each ball slightly with a fork that has been dipped in water. Bake at 325°F for 12-14 minutes, or until lightly browned. Let cool, then eat!

Notes

Do these freeze after being baked? Yes! once cooled, pop them into an airtight container and freeze. Thaw before eating.
Btw, when they come out of the oven, they’ll be fragile…let them cool/firm up before diving in!
